The FoHCT Open Day was held on Saturday June 16th 2018 from 2pm to 5pm and once again was a successful event with fine weather. Activities during the open day included the very popular tower tours, the teddy bear zip wire experience, tomb and tree trails, the tower history display in the vestry and the tea and cake stall. Recorded classical music was organised by Chris Arnold and provided a relaxing background to the day. A new addition to the Open Day was a display of small sculptures by local artist Grace Adam in each stair window of the tower. The day’s activities raised a total of £419 towards the upkeep of the Tower and Churchyard which is a 3.4% increase on 2017 event so keeping up with inflation! Thanks to everyone who helped to organise, set up and run the events.
